Day 15-Putting it All Together and Presenting

The Plan

Things that need to be done before 1 o clock:

- Putting my big apple orchard picture on my poster board

- Cutting out my information

- Putting said information on a background

- Putting that whole ensemble in the appropriate area on the picture

- Figuring out a title

- Assembling it on the board

Things that need to happen after 1 o clock:

- Present

What I did

My whole morning was just me cutting, taping, printing and assembling everything for my presentation. My whole afternoon was just me stressing out about presenting then actually presenting.

Reflection

In all, I felt like today was an awesome last day, I stayed focused, I got things done, and best of all I was able to put together a physical representation of some of the things that I studied. I do wish, however, that I could have shared more of what I learned. In my presentation, I only talked about agroecology on an apple orchard but I learned so much more besides that. I learned about livestock management, the science behind nature, the harvesting process, the packhouse process, the quality specifications that need to be met, and basic apple information….though, because all of these topics are so broad and varied there was no way I could 1) condense that into one idea/title/presentation 2) cover all that I needed to in 3-5 minutes and 3) effectively pick and choose what ideas of those topics are the most important. At the end of the day, I know that focusing on one thing was the right choice, but for some reason, I can’t shake the feeling that what I presented wasn’t sufficient and that I should have done more.
